From 1 August 2019, a new Pan-Dorset Safeguarding Children Partnership replaced the Local Safeguarding Children Boards covering BCP/Dorset. The new Partnership is led by key strategic leaders from the local authorities (BCP and Dorset Councils), NHS Dorset  and Dorset Police with "a shared and equal duty to make arrangements to work together to safeguarding and promote the welfare of all children in a local area" (Working Together, 2018). The lead partners will engage with all local "relevant agencies.
