Support for children aged 0-25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

I think my child may have special educational needs or a disability

All children and young people develop differently and at different times, but you may wonder if your child has special educational needs (SEN) or a disability because they are finding it harder to learn and/or interact than other children of the same age. This may be a need related to:

  • mixing with others
  • paying attention and concentrating
  • understanding their own and others’ feelings and behaviours
  • reading or spelling
  • following instructions
  • sight or hearing
  • coordinating their body for writing or playing sport
