Marvellous Mascots at Museum of East Dorset

Marvellous Mascots at Museum of East Dorset logo

Join us for a morning of animal mascot making fun at the museum!

Explore the new exhibition ‘Rebellion and Revolt’ for inspiration and join our lovely volunteers to create your own clay mascot. Learn about Prince Charles the firsts famous 17th century war dog called ‘Boye’ and then have a go at making one. What kind of animal mascot would you create? A dog? A cat? A parrot? Bring your animal mascots to life in clay using textures and hand-building techniques, and add personality to create something truly unique.

While you are in the museum, get hands-on with our craft table and trails and delve into history with 11 engaging galleries.
