Flourish is a wellbeing discovery programme where people learn new skills, build confidence, make friends and have fun.
At Flourish, participants get involved in horticulture, conservation, maintenance and rural craft, in the tranquil setting of our gardens and unspoiled nature reserve.
This is a medium term volunteering project for approximately 6 months where participants will join a team for one day a week and gain practical hands on experience, skills and knowledge in conservation and horticulture. In addition there will be a programme of activities aimed at improving individual’s wellbeing.
Our Flourish community supports a wide range of individuals.
One of the key aspects of Flourish is the diversity of people who participate which creates a brilliant mutually- supportive community. We welcome disabled people, those living with mental health issues and people wanting to improve their well-being. Participants learn new skills, work with others in a team and connect with nature.
Just get in touch here and we will arrange for you, or someone you think would benefit from Flourish, to visit for an informal chat and look round. When we have assessed how best we can support you, we can arrange for a trial session before you decide if joining regularly is right for you.
We support individuals with disability and/or mental health illness.
Staff provide 1:4 support. If service users need 1:1 support, they will need to bring a buddy/PA with them.
