The Community Sports Trust is the charitable arm of AFC Bournemouth. The trust works actively in the local community across Bournemouth, Poole and surrounding areas.
The Trust has four main stands of work - Education, Health, Participation and Inclusion.
Our team of 36 full time staff deliver over 150 sessions a week, working in partnership with schools, organisations and businesses, coaching, teaching, and engaging with 4,000 people throughout the week with ages 1 to 101.
The Trust's vision is to provide opportunities for all, through project delivery, meeting the needs of the local Community and delivering a mixture of active sessions along with education and support groups.
A key objective is to help individuals reach their potential with pathways in place from recreational activities through to teams with 28 registered teams across Community from the Girls and Women's programme, Disability, College and Walking football.
AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust 'Next Gen' Programme aims to provide opportunities to develop and support the Next Generation of aspiring football coaches throughout grassroots football clubs.
Building on the success of our Linked Clubs programme, we recognise the need for more local volunteer coaches to support player development locally. Through this unique Club project, we aim to recruit individuals (aged 16+ years, from a diverse range of backgrounds) and offer a bespoke training programme to influence and inspire them as coaches.
In turn, these selected individuals will enhance their employability, learn new skills and make a positive contribution to the quality and aspirations of players through local clubs. Formal Coach Education to include FA Level 1 or 2 Courses, FA Emergency Aid, FA Safeguarding Children and FA Coaching Disabled Footballers.
