Shore Road car park has 71 spaces. There’s also a disabled car park nearby with 12 spaces and harbourside pay and display parking along Banks Road. On hot days the car parks fill up fast, so consider alternative ways of travel.

The nearest train stations to the beach are Parkstone (2 miles), Poole (2.2 miles) and Branksome (2.8 miles).
Cycling is allowed, but pedestrians have priority. Keep your speed below 10mph and follow seasonal restrictions in place for July and August on seafront promenades and paths to avoid on-the-spot fines.

From 1 May to 30 September, dogs are not allowed on Shore Road beach and must be kept on a lead on the promenade, paths and zig zags at all times. Find the nearest year-round dog friendly beach and remember to pick up after your dog.
