Iford Academy logo

Iford Academy comprises of 3 schools specialising in supporting young people who have a variety of complex needs relating to Social, Emotional and Mental Health and/or Autism, who may also benefit from additional therapeutic support.

  • The Nigel Bowes Campus - for pupils from Reception to Year 6
  • The Petersfield Campus - for students from Year 7 to Year 11
  • Throop Learning Centre - for students in Year 7 to Year 11 who are unable to attend mainstream school due to medical reasons.

At the heart of all that we do is our commitment to offer a personalised, pupil-centred approach which provides all our young people with the best possible opportunity to move forwards towards a happy and successful future. Our therapeutic and nurturing approaches fully support our mission to develop their self-esteem and to foster a love of learning which will prepare them for their next steps on their journey toward adulthood. We strive to remove any barriers to learning so our young people can fully engage in their learning, catch up on any lost learning and then continue on to make accelerated academic progress.

Our extensive facilities, expert staff and strong links with external professionals allow us to ensure that we can provide an educational experience tailored to meet the specific needs of all our young people.
