Description:

Herons View offers a person entered approach to the day service and as a consequence the service is developed for each individual by supporting their interests and promoting their strengths. If they wish, they can be considered for inclusion in the City and Guilds, skills for working life certificate. This study can help to develop personal and work related skills, which in turn could enable progression into further study or supported employment, or enhance independent living skills. The City and Guilds qualifications are provided via Kingston Maurward College, if accepted on the course, the individual will have student status with them.

Please contact Herons View in the first instance to come and have a look around the facility and to see the activities on offer. A free taster day can then be arranged with a view to seeing if the service is suitable for the individual.
Usually, the placement is supported by a social worker from the local office in which the individual resides.

The service is not time limited.
