Christchurch Town Council is thrilled to announce the return of the highly anticipated Christchurch Christmas Lights Switch On event for 2024.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, 23rd November, as the town centre transforms into a festive wonderland from 11am to 7pm – with the big lights switch-on at 5pm.

The event promises a variety of entertainment, including unmissable live music from headline acts, local bands and school choirs showcasing Christchurch talent. The electrifying Hush Club Disco will make a return to the High Street bringing their party energy throughout the day.

Adding to the festive spirit, visitors will be able to meet Father Christmas, enjoy William Cole Funfair rides and meet some of their favourite Christmas icons including Frozen’s Olaf.

Local traders and charities will set up stalls offering food, drinks, crafts, gifts, and games, creating a vibrant market atmosphere along the High Street and in Saxon Square.

The highlight of the day will be at 5pm when the Mayor of Christchurch will be joined by an exciting special guest to switch on the dazzling Christmas lights.

This highly anticipated moment will mark the official start of the festive season in Christchurch, filling the streets with excitement and holiday sparkle. Make sure to be there and witness the magical countdown as the lights illuminate the town.
