Truth Be Told - Storytelling For Life

Truth Be Told - Storytelling For Life logo

Truth Be Told (TBT) is an inter-generational project that takes joy and life into residential care homes as 0-4's, their parents and residents enjoy storytelling, singing songs and being community together.

With a special bag covered in pockets and full of props, each week follows a different theme like 'transport' or 'animals' or 'colours' and each story tells of a different truth like 'I am loved' or 'I am safe' or 'I am precious'. Then bubbles are blown, a parachute flown and stickers are shared with everyone. Truth Be Told is a Gateway Church-led project so has Christian roots and references but is suitable and enjoyable for those of any faith or none.

Founded by professional Storyteller and mum of three Gemma Gillard, sessions have been handmade to encourage families to sing, tell stories and socialise together and with older adults who are just you and me but... well... older! Because our need for joy, hope, fun, laughter and community never ends, we'd love you to join in!
