Are you 16 to 25 years-old and looking for work experience in an environmental role, something to add to your CV, or a career change to a green job?
The Parks Foundation are delivering free sessions for young adults, teaching green skills in parks across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole - no prior experience needed. With varied sessions available, develop a range of skills at our different events.
Scrapes are shallow ponds which hold rain or flood water seasonally but stay damp for most of the year - they also support a lot of aquatic wildlife. In this session, we will be learning about pond ecosystems, their importance, and how to manage them. You will be assisting with maintaining existing ponds and the infrastructure around them.
Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy footwear.
To register your interest and gain full access, or if you have any questions, contact us on: ranger@parksfoundation.org.uk.
This session is aimed at young people who must be able to attend and work independently. In some sessions we will be using tools and working with other members of the public, so the attendees will need to be responsible for themselves and their conduct whilst attending.
