Alum Chine and Argyll Gardens

Alum Chine and Argyll Gardens logo

We have four Chines in Bournemouth and Alum Chine is the largest.

Walking through the Chine there is plenty for all ages and it all leads down to the beach. Once you arrive at the seafront, there is so much more to discover in and around Alum Chine.

Getting there

You can reach Alum Chine by walking along the seafront from Bournemouth, or you can catch the land train from Bournemouth pier.  If you're coming from Poole or Westbourne, Alum Chine itself is at the bottom of Alumhurst Road where there is a bus stop and public car park.

You can get to Argyll gardens by heading towards West Overcliff Drive. Have a look at our map to see where it is.
