Winton Recreation Ground

Winton Recreation Ground logo

A Green Flag winner and much-loved community space in a popular urban area.

Winton Rec is a little slice of green space in the busy area of Winton.

The recreation ground hosts lots of events and activities and is home to Richmond Park Bowls Club. It also has 6 tennis courts, a cycle track, cricket pitch and a café.

Local people help us manage the bowls and tennis facilities.

Having won £50,000 of funding from the People’s Millions in 2014, we used the money to create a play garden accessible for children of all abilities. Away from the main play area there are quiet zones.

Despite all the activity at the rec, it’s a popular area for birds and other wildlife.
