How do you communicate with the parent / carer whose child has SEND?
Parents have vital and unique knowledge about their child needs. I will be started with ALL ABOUT ME so, I can develop the necessary attitudes and skills to build a positive working relationship with Parents.
How do you help children settle into your setting?
A child with SEN has the right to support that will allow them to access education. I will give a SEN child an equal opportunity in my setting. By doing regular observation and risk assessment, helping child develop at their own pace.
What help and support does your setting offer to children with SEND as they move rooms or move on to school?
Moving to a new phase of education may require changes to the way SEND children are treated. I will regularly review and evaluate the quality and breadth of the support we offer and continue to work with my local education providers to explore how different types of need can be met most effectively.
How do you find out how each child likes to learn?
I will find out SEND child’s interest by observing the child. Every child is a unique child and unique learning patterns. I will start with all about me, observe the child. Plan, do and review
