I am fortunate to have a dedicated children's playroom although all the children have access to the whole of the ground floor of my home which is open planned and safe, it is risked assessed on a regular basis. I offer a safe, clean and stimulating environment with a wide range of activities, designed to emphasise both play and social interaction as well as learning. There is a fenced garden with a good selection of outdoor toys. When the weather permits, we go on nearby outings and trips. I provide nutritious home-cooked meals and healthy snacks with plenty of fresh fruit, vegetables, yoghurt and so on, I try to use as much organic food and ingredients as I possibly can. Parents of younger children are welcome to provide their own food if they prefer, although many find it a great time saver by not having to do so. My house is on a quiet residential road in the Southbourne area, with good parking. I am very close to Stourfield Infant and Junior school and about 10 minutes walk from Pokesdown train station. My husband is homebased and also registered as my assistant. Our daughter is also registered and able to assist when she is not working at the Montessori nursery in Lytchett, where she is currently doing her NVQ level 3 in childcare.
