Skerman, Mrs Rebecca Jane
I work with my husband and daughter providing a unique family setting. We aim to provide children in our care with the opportunity to develop at their own pace, to feel valued and secure, and to develop positive self esteem and confidence in themselves and others. We do this by providing a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment with quality play experiences, and encouraging interaction with both adults and children, and providing opportunities for children to make choices, to explore and communicate their ideas. We plan to provide varied and stimulating activities according to individual needs and preferences and to use spontaneous opportunities as they arise. As a childminder, working in a home environment, I have the flexibility to use and value such events as the birth of a new baby in the family, changes in the weather, the interest developing from new books or items brought in by the minded children. We are able to take advantage of local events, to visit places of special interest and to offer the children in our care a wide range of experiences. We provide a practice that is all inclusive and aim to provide games, activities, outings and learning experiences for your children that are fun, challenging and achievable, adapting these to ensure that children of all ages and abilities are able to participate. Parents of the children we care for are happy to provide references.

Other Costs:
Term time and School Holiday Contracts available. As people's needs vary from enquiry to enquiry I would discuss costs with each enquirer. I create payment plans for parents to spread costs evenly through the year if they prefer.... in the same way as they would receive 'childcare tax credits' which assists some parents. i.e school children who attend the setting in school holidays and at the end and beginning of the school day in term time for instance benefit from equally monthly payments through the year rather than great expense over the school holidays.
