Mini Mice Pre-School is a large, privately run Pre-School located in the spacious and bright St Mark's Church Hall on Alton Road in Wallisdown. During opening hours (Mon-Fri, 8.45am-2.45pm) we have sole use of the hall and outdoor space. We cater for children from 2 years up to primary school age (the month that children turn 5 years old) Mini Mice is open during term times in line with the term dates of St Mark's Primary School. We have links with the church and school of St Mark's and make regular visits, as well as play sessions with the Children's Minister. All of our enthusiastic and experienced staff at Mini Mice are DBS certified and either fully qualified or undergoing study to achieve relevant childcare qualifications. The manager and deputy manager, Dani Haigh and Shelley Young, hold Level 3 NVQ Early Years Care and Education and SENCO qualifications and have many years experience of working with Pre-School children in a variety of settings. All staff at Mini Mice are committed to providing the highest possible standard of care and education for your child. They provide for the emotional security of all the children in their care, actively promoting kindness, empathy, responsibility and self-awareness, as well as a love of literacy and the great outdoors. We have a strong and developing sustainability policy, promoting positive actions for the children in the setting to take care of themselves, each other, our resources, our community and the environment. We are all enrolled on a programme of continual professional development, attending regular training sessions to benefit our working practice at Mini Mice and, most importantly, the children attending.
