Information for families in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole

Teddy's Pre-School

We have the toddler unit (Sandcastles and Seashells) with one room for the younger children in our care, and the other which is for children who require some targeted interventions or have sensory needs or physical needs. Our upper floor provision allows for a calm, nurturing feel for your child's first steps into childcare provision. We also have the whole ground floor as a spacious provision for our older children, (Ocean and Rockpool) with access straight onto the outdoor area via double doors. The older children also have opportunity to have targeted invention work in one of our groups which they are matched to based on their stage of development. Our most popular group is our chatty bears group which is for children who need encouragement to develop their language skills. Our double doors are open on to the garden for the whole session and a separate area of the outside space is available for the younger children also to use, on a smaller scale. Qualified and experienced staff teach based on the individual child's interests, in our child led learning environment. We are a friendly, welcoming setting and we achieved a GOOD outcome for our work from OFSTED in December 2019. We currently open from Monday to Friday from 9am-12pm or 12-3pm or even 1pm-4pm (funding is welcome during these times). There is an opportunity to pay for an early start (8.30-9am) at £5 per child per day and/or a lunch club or late finish (3-4pm) at £5 per child per day. Please contact Kerry or Louise for an appointment to visit us soon as we fill up quickly!
