The LADO (Local Authority Designated Officer) - known as Designated Officer (DO) in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole must be informed of accusations made against staff who work or volunteer with children.

It may also be appropriate to contact the LADO/DO if an allegation is made against someone who is closely associated with a staff member, practitioner or childminder.
