We are a land-based College in Dorchester delivering a wide range of full-time, part-time, apprenticeship and university level courses. The college is graded as a GOOD College.
We have teams of professionally trained staff committed to working with students on courses at any level who have additional learning needs. We aim to deliver individually tailored programmes of support to help you develop the skills you need to be successful on your chosen course. Each year there are many students who, with the help of Learning Support, leave college with the qualifications and skills they need to fulfil their ambitions.
The College has a Foundation Studies department delivering vocational courses across the full range of provision the college offers, but designed specifically for young people with special education needs or disabilities.
Students study with us up to four days per week, in some cases with an additional work experience day. Timetables can be individualised depending on the young person's needs and abilities and we can tailor the qualifications to ensure everyone can achieve their potential.
Students attending Foundation Studies courses will have the benefit of our Greys Loft centre which is based in the heart of the campus. Greys Loft is specifically for Foundation students and offers a safe and welcoming environment. Experienced staff are always available at Greys Loft and all classes start from there. We have 1 to 1 rooms, a common room, dining room and kitchen as well as two large IT suites and a dedicated life skills classroom. We provide lunch and break time supervision as well as a number of lunch time clubs that students can join.
