Avonwood Primary School is dedicated to preserving the wonder of childhood. Together with our community we wish to demonstrate that the values taught at home and school ensure happy, confident and bright young people, capable of making a difference to the world in which they live.

We believe that Schools should be 'wondrous' places which capture a child's imagination and encourage a passion for and love of learning. We offer our children a curriculum rich in academic, artistic, practical and physical activities in an inclusive and diverse environment. Our educational philosophy is that school should cultivate the imagination, provoke intellectual curiosity and develop social responsibility.

We don't yet know what the future holds for our children, but research tells us that over half the jobs people will be performing when our children grow up don't yet exist. We aim to embed both the skills and attitudes needed to be successful now and in the future.
