If you have applied to join the housing waiting list, or you are thinking of doing so, please note that it is unlikely that you will receive an offer of accommodation unless you have a significantly urgent need to move. This is because the demand for housing far outweighs the availability and, at the moment, BCP Council has around 5,000 households on the housing waiting list.

If your need to move is low, have you considered other options which would mean that you could stay where you are?

It is important that you consider all of your housing options and that you look to the private sector to resolve your need, or you look for a mutual exchange if you are a social housing tenant. The housing waiting list is not the solution for most people.
