Working with families to provide the right support when it's needed

Volunteering at BCP Council family hubs

Across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole there are six family hubs and two outreach centres (formerly called children's centres).

They are based in localities across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole to support all families that need early help services, ensuring that they get the right help at the right time. Any family can contact us and we will signpost to appropriate support.

The hubs are welcoming and friendly centres and volunteers are an important part of our team. We have a wide variety of volunteering opportunities such as supporting our groups, admin support and maintenance roles. If you are thinking about returning to work, considering a career working with children of any age or would just like to volunteer some of your time, please use the QR code below, or use the link (https://forms.office.com/e/jygATt4kLC) if you don’t have the QR facility, to register your interest. Our Family Hubs Volunteer Coordinator, Sharon Taylor, will then contact you to explain more about our volunteer programme including the training and background checks (references/DBS) that we undertake prior to placing volunteers in our hubs.
