School Nurseries

Some schools have nurseries attached to them which are open during school hours and offer early education and childcare for 3-5 year olds. Attending a School Nursery does not give your child preferential treatment in obtaining a place at that school.

This type of childcare is registered and inspected by Ofsted, under the school's inspection (www.ofsted.gov.uk).

Childcare is a universal service which means provision is inclusive. Where service records are showing the SEND logo (as above) additional information is available on support for children with SEN and disabilities. See the Local Offer tab on the service record for the SEN information report.
