Working with families to provide the right support when it's needed

Our local food advice programme - Family hub online

Fun, friendly and free. We offer weaning, food and cooking support for you and your family.

The Friendly Food Club is a local cooking and food education charity which has been commissioned by BCP Council to deliver food programmes within family hubs across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. They offer three individual programmes consisting of four one-hour sessions, featuring nutritionist approved ideas. These are informal sessions helping you to build confidence and learn new ways of encouraging your child to become more comfortable with a wider range of foods, in a safe environment, with other parents.

  • Mush and Munch: introducing babies to weaning (6 to 11 months)
  • Crunch and Munch: for those young children how may refuse food, displaying sensory difficulties or are picky eaters (2 to 6 years)
  • Fun with Food: a family cooking experience encouraging cooking together to make easy, tasty, low cost meals
