Looking after a toddler can be lots of fun, but it can also be stressful, which can lead to changes in feelings and emotions. As your child grows and develops, there may be challenges and some people find it easier to adapt than others.
You may find your emotions are having a negative impact on your life and you may be experiencing a mental health difficulty. For many mothers, dads and partners, this can lead to various difficulties such as anxiety, low mood and depression. In most cases, these will get better quickly with the support of partners, friends and family and there is a wide range of people who can offer you support when you need. Your GP or health visitor are a good starting point, you won’t be telling them anything they haven’t heard before.
