Your wellbeing - Start for Life (toddler)

Dealing with a toddler can be both exciting, and sometimes overwhelming. It is important to can look after your wellbeing, whilst enjoying precious time with your child.

To look after your wellbeing, you and your partner may find it helpful to:

  • eat regular healthy meals and snacks, drink plenty of water 
  • ask a family member or a friend to help look after your toddler for a short while, or to help you around the house
  • try to get out every day for a short walk, some fresh air and light exercise, it is a great way of lifting your mood
  • try having a bath or shower to help you relax and unwind
  • try and rest when your toddler allows, even if you cannot sleep in the day try to sit down, relax, watch some TV, enjoy or read a book.
