19 to 25 years: Education transition planning

All students with SENSENSpecial Educational Needs is a term which refers to children who have learning difficulties or disabilities that make it harder for them to learn than most children of the same age., with or without EHCEHCEducation, Health and Care plans should be able to make a successful transition into adult life with the right support and preparation, including guidance on employment, independent living and playing an active part in the wider world.

Further Education Colleges have access to specialist skills to support the learning of all students with SENSENSpecial Educational Needs is a term which refers to children who have learning difficulties or disabilities that make it harder for them to learn than most children of the same age.. There may be opportunities for students to attend foundation provision or attend mainstream FE collegeFE collegeFurther Education (FE) college offers continuing education to young people over the age of 16. departments where they can access Higher Education and higher level Further Education with the possibility of additional support, if required.
