Direct payments can be offered to those with parental responsibility for a disabled child. Personal budgets may be available for parents and carers of children with Education, Health and Care plans. These methods of funding allow more control and choice for families.

Parent carers of a child with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities may also be entitled to other government assistance.
